Community Horizons is assisting a young woman in the Oshkosh area to hire a part-time 1:1 caregiver to join her dedicated team of providers. This individual lives independently with the support of 24-hour staff.

This position has the potential to be a full-time position if you have the flexibility to work both AM and PM shifts. The days needed are Monday, Thursday, Friday and every other weekend from 8a-4p.

A typical shift:

• Provide verbal prompts to complete personal care tasks.
• Provide 100% supervision.
• Plan and execute exciting outings in the community.
• Play games.
• Do lots (and lots) of art projects.
• Go for walks.
• Watch movies.
• Complete supportive home tasks with the client (Cooking, cleaning, etc.).
• Assist client with making healthy and safe decisions.
• Teach and encourage new life skills.

Requirements:

• Have a valid Drivers License and a reliable vehicle.
• Be able to pass a caregiver background check.
• Dependability.
• Professionalism and exercise of healthy boundaries.
• Experience working for those with intellectual, developmental, or mental health disorders.

Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through managed care organizations or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
